For the most part, I have been learning to use Sketch for all my digital designs. It’s basically the go-to app for the UX and UI design community. However Adobe released Experience Designer (Adobe XD) a few years ago, and it’s slowly gaining traction.
I have to give props to Adobe for building and nurturing a community behind Adobe XD. I once attended an Adobe Creative Jam in Toronto, to see how early adopters were using XD. As well as integrating and sharing your work on Behance, is a nice touch as well.
Another thing I like about what Adobe is doing is their Adobe Live daily series. It’s a great way to do a quick live tutorial with Adobe evangelists for programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and now XD. This month they started an XD Daily Challenge on creating a music player prototype. I figured this would be a great way to build up my UI Design skills and add to my growing portfolio. If you’re interesting click here to participate to see what’s available in Adobe XD.
