Enjoy Lemmy Cola: A Toast To Motörhead’s Lead Singer Ian Kilmister

LemmyCola-JAD-JDas2kI was not a big Motörhead fan while growing up. I knew some friends that were heartbroken to hear the recent passing of lead singer Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister. He died of cancer on December 28, 2015.

My memories of Motörhead were during the resurgence of the World Wrestling Entetainment’s (WWE) “Attitude” era. It was the entrance song to Triple H “The Game” that I heard Lemmy for the 1st time. I never liked Triple H because he was the villain. I was more of a fan of The Rock. My favourite Motörhead song is “Ace Of Spades”. I actually heard it first in a movie trailer for the film Smokin’ Aces.

Lemmy was known for his hard drinking of Jack Daniel’s and Coke. I later read about a petition to change the name of Jack & Coke served in bars to a “Lemmy”. I’m more of a rum & coke guy, but if they could serve a bottle Lemmy-Cola in those vintage glass bottles, that would be great. Originally I wanted to make a Jack Daniel’s style label but noticed it was done several times. Instead I did the reverse and played up the Coca-Cola themed idea. Cheers Lemmy.
