Light & Magic - Series Review - Episode 98 on D+ Us
I made a return appearance as a guest on D+ Us podcast. In episode 98 we reviewed the new Lucasfilm documentary series Light & Magic. It’s a 6 part series that goes into the history of the most influential visual effects company, Industrial Light & Magic. The series talks about the early founding days by George Lucas, fulfilling the needs of creating the Star Wars trilogy, helping his director colleagues with visual effects, working on influential films like Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park, and modernization of virtual production like “The Volume”.
I’m joined by hosts Griffin Thenell, Mitch George, and guest Alex Balant. Listen as we discuss our deep love of visual effects, the ILM dominance, as well as touch on the dark side of the visual effects industry.
