Remembering David Bowie

A Tribute To David Bowie

On January 10, 2016 music icon David Bowie passed away at the age of 69. I was a fan of some his songs but never embraced him fully when I was growing up in the 80’s. Here’s my 5 favourite David Bowie songs:

  1. Let’s Dance
  2. Changes
  3. Under Pressure
  4. Space Oddity
  5. I’m Afraid of Americans

Thanks to Spotify I’m able to now go back and listen some of the best songs by Bowie. This might help me rediscover the music I missed out on back then. Like many people taking time to remember David’s music or watching his movies, I decided to make a tribute image in memory of David Bowie. A combination of elements from album cover of Space Oddity, Aladdin Sane, Ziggy Stardust, and his last album Blackstar. Also a nod to his acting role in Labyrinth, playing Jareth the Goblin King. Labyrinth was only of my favorite movies as a kid. I encourage you to see it, as well as The Dark Crystal, both directed by Jim Henson. There are so many elements that make the life of David Bowie. He truly was a musical chameleon. Goodbye Starman.
