Chewie Among The Stars - In Memory of Peter Mayhew
This year's May The Fourth will be bittersweet. Unfortunately Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy passed away. Chewbacca was a favourite character of mine. I've seen Peter from a distance when he's done autograph sessions at Fan Expo Canada, or most recently Star Wars Celebration 2019.
I did this tribute illustration using Procreate on iPad Pro. I was trying to recreate that "Jedi Ghost" effect, even though I know Chewie is not a Jedi.
RIP Peter
