Scribble To Digital: An Introduction

scribble2digitalBack in school at George Brown College, I wanted to put together a DVD together of my portfolio. It was a very ambitious project at the time. I only got so far in creating a DVD cover called "Scribble To Digital".I have always admired artists that practice the art of speed painting. Capturing the live process of drawing an image and playing back the video at a faster speed rate. Some people go the extra mile and put music and fancy graphics over top their video.Lately I've been reading about creating content on YouTube as well. I figured I would give it a try and do my own speed paintings. Right now I have 2 setups in the works to record the videos. Right now I've experimented with a workflow of my iPad with the app Sketchbook Pro with the record feature. I use a Wacom Bamboo stylus for drawing on my iPad with the occasional finger painting touch up. The other setup is Photoshop on my Wacom Cintiq all recorded via Camtasia.Right now I have only 3 videos posted so far, but I'm hoping to post a video once a week. I'm not sure if I'll take requests as of yet, but I might reach out later if I'm really stumped for ideas. I hope you will like and share these videos I create.-JD
