The North Remembers : The 2015-2016 Season of The Toronto Raptors


This season of the Toronto Raptors was very special in so many ways. They came so close to going to the NBA Finals, but ultimately we lost in the conference finals in 6 games to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was disappointing but the team made so many strides in the right direction and has me personally excited for the future. They NBA pundits thought we were only capable to beating the Indiana Pacers in the 1st round; we beat them in 7. We wouldn’t beat the Miami Heat; we beat them in 7. We wouldn’t win a game to the Cleveland Cavaliers; we took them to 6 games.  I made this piece to recognize the accomplishment of this team. While some players will move on due to trades and free agency, the city of Toronto and all of Canada will remember this group of 2016 for many years. To those that think Toronto doesn’t know basketball, I leave you with this video below.
