Go With The Webflow

I always kick myself for not learning to do web coding at an earlier time. In college we only had 1 course for web design. The year after my graduation, the program got overhauled for with more web design courses.

Afterwards I picked up a few tips and knowledge about web design coding here and there on my own time. I always wrestled with the notion “you don’t need to know coding vs you need some coding”. As a UX designer it definitely helps to understand how front end coding worked. Before I didn’t know the distinction between front end vs back end.

In terms of apps I used in the past it ranged from Dreamweaver to making slices in Photoshop. The promise of What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) programs was never 1 to 1. When I started to build my 1st website which was my portfolio site, I opted for WordPress. Now I made the switch to Squarespace. It’s fairly simple to use and quick for me to create new pages.

Now with the help of ADPList Learners program I’ve dipped my toes into learning Webflow. I think this is the platform where I can build more robust web applications and web pages as well. It’s definitely got a learning curve, but I’m willing to stick it out and add Webflow to my tool set.
